Partnerships and Collaborations
A Global Focus
To extend the reach and impact of AllerGen research, the Network is initiating new linkages with international academic, private and public sector organizations.
Through a new programme of the Networks of Centres of Excellence (NCE) – the International Partnership Initiative – AllerGen has received more than $1 million in funding from the NCE and the International Development Research Centre to use in building relationships with partners abroad.
Under this initiative, AllerGen is partnering with:
- The Global European Allergy and Asthma Network (GA2LEN) in Belgium;
- The Karolinska Institute in Sweden;
- The World Health Organization (WHO) initiatives – Allergic Rhinitis and its Impact on Asthma (ARIA); Interairways; and the Global Alliance on Respiratory Diseases (GARD) in France and Switzerland;
- The International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (IUATLD) initiatives in El Salvador and Mexico; and
- The Institute of Population Health and Clinical Research at the St. John's Research Institute in India.
